Avoiding Probate

If you distribute your estate through the use of a will, there will be a probate. The probate court controls the process until all assets are distributed. This process is open to the public and can be expensive and time-consuming. While there are circumstances in which a probate is necessary to accomplish planning goals, in many cases avoiding probate is desirable. With proper planning, your assets can pass to your loved ones without undergoing probate.
